Ohh lala.com, you changed
Seems that lala.com has changed the rules on me. When you request a cd you can now demand cover art or not. I was prevented from trading a cd because I don't have the cover art. Not that big of a deal for me, I'd rather have the music. Too bad, I really wanted to get rid of that Elton John cd. A real stinker, pu.
update: Did some research, cover art is a user setting, not a case by case thing. I think lala has modified their record keeping to keep track of what cd in your collection has cover art or doesn't. Since I've done most of my trading prior to the change, my data is incomplete regarding cover art.

it still has to be an original cd. Copies are a real no-no. I got the Elton John cd from lala, it didn't come with cover art.

Well they don't go through lala and then to you, so hell with the rules. Send all the copied cds you want.

That was a one time deal. The dude had some cds he didn't want to trade because they are autographed by the band. I know it was illegal, but who broke the law? Me or the guy who copied the cds and sent them to me?

The RIAA did for invading people's privacy and installing tracking devices on people's computer.
Its to help prevent pirates like you from trading pirated music.
