First I had to call 911 'cuz my mom couldn't breathe, or walk, then Gonzaga loses to UCLA at the very end of the game. Mom turned out to be ok, she spent most of the day in the emergency room waiting for a doc. If I had to choose a loser, I'd like Gonzaga to lose a game before my mom loses her life. Much rather see Adam Morrison crying than my Dad, Sis, nephew, or nieces.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose sucks so bad. Read this review, I won't waste the energy to write my own. A true piece of shit movie. Gambutrol, epilepsy, possession, boredom, how about a bar where lawyers hang out called "The Side Bar"? "I'll only take the case if I get to have my name on the door, next to yours..." I hate this movie! It's almost so bad it's funny, but not quite.

I really wanted to fake being sick so I could stay home and watch the first round of the NCAA Basketball Championship. Even found a how-to site with guidelines. Turns out I really am getting sick, and won't be able to get off work even if I wanted to. Well, I've got the TiVo, better schedule some recordings. Kinda pissed that the DirecTV listings aren't at all accurate as to what teams are playing when, the brackets have been out since Sunday...now that I'm adding the games to my todo list, I guess DirecTV has updated their listings.

Almost had a heart attack, drove by a construction site that had a sign stating they were hiring for managers for a SONIC drive-in. I can't wait to drink one of their Fresh Lime drinks. It'll be on Division, near one of the Staples.

My iTunes library is full of podcasts I'm never going to listen to again. How about an automatic removal of a podcast after ... 60 days? Tivo manages file space as needed, you can flag things "keep until I delete", but for the most part they get overwritten. Maybe Apple should think about this issue. I'm too lazy to manually delete files, I want my computer to decide if I want to keep a file or not.

I love me some free on purpose Mp3s! And free on purpose movie trailers. Anyway, the South by Southwest Festival is a fantastic source of neat stuff. My bittorrent will be going for a few days to get the over 3 gigs of Mp3s offered up for free. A link to sxsw stuff.

What was I thinking? If the mini-ITX had firewire I could try to boot from my external DVD burner, alas it does not. Guess the only thing I can do is borrow the DVD drive from my XBOX. Not in the mood to take the XBOX apart right now.

I'm tired of people saying Macs are too expensive. I really want to buy the new Mac mini. Hook that fucker up to a HDTV... After I do my taxes I'll figure out which one I'll buy first. Leaning towards the mini... Goddamn, I'm so excited about the duo-core Mac Mini!

I've got to pick exterior colors for my house. Think I'll go with historically traditional ones for a Craftsman style bungalow. Didn't find much searching until I found this Flickr photo set. Some kind of green for the body is what I'm leaning towards. The neighbors on the left have a yellowish house and the guy on the right has a white one. I've got some time to decide because it's way too cold right now to paint.

Did a walkthru of my burned house today. Everything has been stripped down to bare floors and studs. That pic is where the fire almost burned through the living room floor. Keep in mind that there was carpet and another wood floor that the flames ate up before creating those almost holes.

That's what I thought when watching "The Office" earlier tonight. Turns out that hump wasn't the one from Cheaters. It was Kenneth Cole, who happens to look a lot like the hump from Cheaters. Kenneth Cole designs shoes and other stuff that they sell at Macy's. I don't think he confronts people who are cheating on their spouses. Maybe he confronts people who wear counterfeit shoes.

My latest electric bill showed up in my inbox today. It wasn't as good as my Qwest bill where they owe me, pretty good though. Only 21 bucks, compared to the last one before the fire which was over 100 bucks more than that. Almost hate to move back after all the repairs are done, really enjoy these cheap utilities.

It's been almost 30 days since I last slept in my own bed. Don't think I'd want to sleep in it now, probably in a landfill. Thankfully those two aren't allowed in my guest room, or else there'd be hair all over my new MacBook Pro. Should only be three more months of their crap to put up with, "... feed me, pet me, play with me ..."

And, I should find out next week for sure how the whole "contents" thing will work with my homeowner's insurance. Hope that ambulance ride will be covered by my health insurance, picked up my mail Friday and there was a notice claiming that they think some other insurance might cover it because it was the result of an accident. Had to fill out a form, now I get to wait and see.

Got a new bill from Qwest in my email today. They actually owe me 26 bucks. Not everything sucks when your house almost burns down. I guess they owe me because they bill in advance. I got lucky when they agreed to let me out of the two year commitment, but c'mon, I'm not in the house, how can I use their DSL on melted phone lines? DirecTV let me put the service on hold for six months and will give me a free move-in thing, or something. Awesome!

Do pugs ever stop shedding? Sheesh, hair everywhere. Staying at my folks place for who knows how long and they've got a couple of pugs. I would think that in the cold weather they'd keep as much hair as possible. Maybe when it gets colder.

iPhone glass replacement kit showed up today. The glass in the kit was broken. Shoot.

Dummy at work told me that today. He voted, but didn't vote for president, just local elections. All because of the electoral college system we have, his lame state of Idaho only has 4. He claims that he hates the electoral college system and would rather that the popular vote would prevail. Hey dummy, you didn't vote for president, so yours didn't count period. Obama won the popular vote as well.

The movie still sucks, but it looks a lot better in Blu-Ray. I will say that you can sort of tell the bad guys from the good guys in the higher def version. Viewing the DVD version I couldn't really follow the action, or tell which robot was which. To be honest I was catching up on email and stuff during the heavy CGI scenes. Just wanted to see what's her name in a belly shirt and short skirt in high def.
