Damn, I can't find it on RapidShare, and all the torrents are fake. But this upcoming weekend it will open in Seattle and Portland. With the price of gas it will be very expensive to drive over to either city, my neph has his graduation party on Sunday, so I can't go this weekend. Pretty sure the movie will still be in the theatre weekend after next. Wonder what gas costs in Oregon where you can't pump your own gas?

Learned today that a guy I worked with on and off for the last year or so killed himself over a week ago. Kind of explains why he didn't reply to emails or return calls lately. He was an outside consultant to the company I work for (paid in cash under the table). I wouldn't say we were friends, but I certainly respected his knowledge and ability as a network administrator. When we first started working together I thought he was there to help displace me but as time went on he probably helped me keep my job. His name's already been removed from the online employee directory where he worked, only found it through google's cache. He left behind a wife and an almost 3 year old boy (guessing on the age of the kid).

I am not a bank and will not lend money to anybody again. I should've known that I'd be let down. I didn't really lend money but let some folk buy stuff and pay me over time. So far they've both done a shitty job of paying me. I expect them to get it done at some point but it might take a long long long time.

That bad pic from my phone looks pretty good. I really like that picture, a lot. I can't get over how much I like that picture. It's just my middle finger in front of my macbook, but somehow it seems like something more. Sort of an erection and shaved balls, but that's not it. Hmmm

There it is, unopened, what to do? I want it but I can make a few bucks by selling it... If someone I knew had 120 bucks cash in hand I'd sell it in a heartbeat... playing around with Flickr right now. Yep, I'm probably hackable, running old software.

Nice, I've learned that I can send photos from my iPhone to Flickr full size, set to private by default, and I can blog about photos automatically from Flickr. When I upload a pic to Flickr it's supposed to create a blog post based on that pic, not working, but I'm a few versions behind in my blog software so think that might be why it doesn't work.

I got the Wii Fit that I preordered today. Should I sell it for a profit? Odds are that I won't use it to it's full extent... but I am kinda sorta commited to losing weight. I'm not going to open the package yet, need to think on this. If I can sell it and make money I should. What's more important to me right now, around 120 bucks cash, or the first step on a path to being well? I just don't know.

I was up very late last night chatting online with my California gal-pal Wendy. She sent me a vulgar photo of a bunch of vaginas, I guess we went off on a tangent like we do. Somehow at some point, probably in the early morning hours I did a google search on "thigh constructed penis". She has a fascination with Transgendered folk and I don't try to dissuade her from it, I'm thinking it had something to do with that. I really like the photography of Joel Peter Witkin, so I kinda have a fascination with the Transgendered as well. Not in a sexual way, but in a "isn't that interesting" way.

Flytunes.fm is a service to listen to live streaming 'radio' on an iPhone, even while on the non-wifi Edge network (3G next month, will I buy a new phone? NO!). I am very disappointed with the available choices on Flytunes.fm. I was hopeful that a radio station that broadcasts "The Mike O'Meara Show" would be one I could check out at work.

I have a radio at work I'm allowed to listen to at a low volume but the station I want comes through as a constant buzz. Where is my red Swingline stapler!!! I'll burn that place down. (not a threat, a reference to the film character Milton from the classic Mike Judge film "Office Space")

Awesome, my Wii Fit is on it's way... why did Europe get the Fit first? I'm sure it's based on the relative strength of the dollar versus the euro. Anyway, I'll be sure to not play my new game just like I don't play Super Smash Brothers, GTA4, Bully, No More Heros, Guitar Hero 3, Mario Kart. I guess what I'll use it for is to take the BMI test. I want a fancy scale that hooks up to the TV. I may or may not disclose the figure, I expect to be in the morbidly obese range, hopefully I won't exceed the maximum weight of the device and break it.

Truth be told I've lost a few lbs recently by paying close attention to what I eat (Nutrisystem), still a real threat to break the Wii Fit when I step on it. I'm a cheater on games and on diets, so who knows what my end result will be. Some of that Nutrisystem stuff is awful, no way is that anything like a pizza. It's a soggy thick cracker with tomato paste and something that looks like cheese, where you have to spread the paste on the sogg and sprinkle the "cheese" and put it all in the microwave. I'm not starting my journey for real until I get the Fit and have some data to track progress.

I have a degree in art, I used to be pretty good at copying a picture, wonder if I could do it in needle and ink? I think my niece might be into being a test site, I should do one on me first. Lucky that I'm a fatty and have lots of skin I could practice on. I just hate seeing the bad tats on those reality shows. Oh, and I have one I'd like to cover up or laser remove. That's my real motivation.

Ehhh, a not awful movie. Never heard of this movie until it showed up on the download sites. It stars Sarah Michellle Gellar and Alec Baldwin. Probably not promoted at the time of release because of Alec Baldwin's voice mail message to his daughter where he called her "a thoughtless little pig". The movie is kinda a version of "The Devil Wears Prada" set in the publishing industry where Baldwin is a big wig editor dude and he ends up fucking and keeping Mrs. Freddy Prince Jr. for a while. As an older guy I like to see this kind of film, the old guy gets the girl, all the while he is diabetic and an alcoholic and the girl knows it.

Do not buy the DVD of Semi-Pro. I guess it's ok for a rental if you want to be disappointed. It comes out next week I think, avoid it unless you love Will Ferrell and all he does. There are some nice cameos, people I like to see in movies, Ed Helms, Rob Corddry, Kristin Wigg, Andy Richter has a role, Will Arnett, Andrew Daly, and of course David Koechner. All of those talented people put together do not add up to a good movie.

Not a birthday guy, leave me alone, this day isn't any different than any other, I just happened to be born on it. A couple of nice things about today were that I got a free lunch and a paycheck. Oh, and a bunch of e-cards from friends and family, and happy birthday emails from forums that I haven't visited in years. I got a birthday card in the mail from my aunt and uncle in Indiana yesterday. And the Wii dude paid me another 50 bucks, that is the best thing that happened on my birthday. Worst thing is that my driver's license expired, hope I don't get pulled over by the fuzz before I get it renewed.

I linked to a cam version of Iron Man in a prior post. There's a better cam verision here. Only bad thing about this new cam version is that the subtitles are in Spanish. The other cam version had some scenes obscured because the camera operator had to hide his/her camera from an usher or another theater goer.

PS: I'm a selfish jerk afraid to face his own mortality and his possible future reality.

What a game, the wheel is so cool to use. I usually don't care for the Kart games or the Super Smash games. Between the two I prefer the Kart game on the Wii. Might trade in my Super Smash game for BioShock for the 360, even after getting the classic controller I just don't dig the Super Smash. Too many characters I have no clue who they are or what they can do.

My Wii might go unplayed for quite a while after I get my 360 and GTA 4.

Feel bad because I haven't visited my dad yet after his open heart surgery. I've been sick and this cold will not go away. Am I contagious? How would I know, all I know is I'm still coughing and I don't want to kill my pops by accident. I'm a bad son, I can burn a dvd of Iron Man for him to watch while he heals. It's a pretty poor cam version, good movie, makes me want to see it in a theater.

I have to play GTA 4, can't resist. Amazon has a deal if you buy the GTA 4 and an Xbox 360 together you get 30 bucks off. Not sure if it's the best deal overall but I didn't like that used 360 systems from Gamestop don't include the hard drive, plus they are used and might not work. Thanks GWB, this is what I'm spending my tax rebate on to help stimulate the economy. No HDTV for me yet.

Geri, I think that's her name, something like that. Had to go into my Credit Union these last couple of days and saw her again. She has power too, she was the only one who could put the PIN on my new Debit Card, had to wait almost 10 minutes while she dealt with some lady bitching about late charges. She's not a native english speaker, light skin, sort of Spanish accent. At the very least I need to know where she came from.

Do pugs ever stop shedding? Sheesh, hair everywhere. Staying at my folks place for who knows how long and they've got a couple of pugs. I would think that in the cold weather they'd keep as much hair as possible. Maybe when it gets colder.

iPhone glass replacement kit showed up today. The glass in the kit was broken. Shoot.

Dummy at work told me that today. He voted, but didn't vote for president, just local elections. All because of the electoral college system we have, his lame state of Idaho only has 4. He claims that he hates the electoral college system and would rather that the popular vote would prevail. Hey dummy, you didn't vote for president, so yours didn't count period. Obama won the popular vote as well.

The movie still sucks, but it looks a lot better in Blu-Ray. I will say that you can sort of tell the bad guys from the good guys in the higher def version. Viewing the DVD version I couldn't really follow the action, or tell which robot was which. To be honest I was catching up on email and stuff during the heavy CGI scenes. Just wanted to see what's her name in a belly shirt and short skirt in high def.

I've seen that people take credit for my work. Not difficult work, took me 15 minutes or less to do it, squeezed it out before I left on Friday. Emailed the result of my work to the coworker that requested it. Subsequently read an email where that coworker claimed that they created it, they may have edited it, but don't take full credit. Just gives me more reason to hate on folk. This particular coworker couldn't have created it ever. Best to move on if able. Will be with some folk this weekend that might have some options.

It's obvious. Why even debate it? If you look at Kristen Wiig's nose in "Walk Hard" and how it looks on the most recent episodes of SNL, it's clear that she had a nose job. I personally think she looks better.

I just bought a new glass screen and tools to replace it off eBay. Shit is coming from Hong Kong. Why do they call it 2G? That 2G stuff confuses me. Anyway, even if it's the wrong size it was only around 14 bucks. Isn't the 3G iPhone the second generation? They claim it fits a 4 gig iPhone, so that would be a first generation iPhone.

A local company can replace the busted glass screen on my iPhone for "... $65 (parts), $10.88 Shipping, and $35 labor...", so hmm, math, let's see 110.88. Cheaper than sending it back to Apple. Too bad I don't have some other phone lying around I could put the sim card into during the repair time. They say 5-10 days turnaround. Would they need to have my iPhone the whole time? Need to find out what it would cost to get out of my ATT contract. Then go T-Mobile and G1, depending on what it costs to dump ATT. Although, I'm liking an App on the iPhone called GasHog that helps you track how many miles per gallon you get, and what the fuel costs per mile.

That G1 looks goofy, has no standard headphone jack, doesn't play video, not truly open thanks to T-Mobile, has a 2 year contract like ATT.

Fuck it, I'm stuck. Maybe I'll get the 3G iPhone instead and sell the busted one to help offset the cost. I'll have to make sure to take blurry pictures of it.

It was very easy to setup the first 3 times. Why 3 times? Well, I'm trying to use Boxee on it and that requires some work, not really, but I tried it over again when samba wasn't working. Still need some work to get samba shares to load. All the iTunes stuff works great, I can stream any media in my iTunes library fine, movies I've bought, podcasts, music I've bought. What I really want is samba shares to work. That will involve some ssh and ftp work. NitoTV may be the answer. Not a novice to ssh or ftp so I'm not scared about it, just too late in the day to tackle it tonight.

BTW: Never knew I could boot from a USB card reader.

BTW 2: The 2.2 Apple TV update included 1080p.
