I got my copy of Leopard at work today. Such a pretty box, Apple should win an award for packaging design. It installed in under 3 hours, I didn't time it, but I started the upgrade after 7 pm and it finished well before 10 pm. So far no problems other than having to reconfigure my wireless security, was on WEP and couldn't get it to connect, now on WAP and all is well. Safari is fast, think it'll be my default browser from now on, Notes in Mail don't show on my iPhone, will have to figure that out...Cover flow view in the finder is pretty neat, I can see what all that junk is on my desktop without opening the files first. Boot Camp Assistant let me delete my Windows partition, that alone was worth the 40 some bucks I paid for Leopard.

Hadn't visited Boing Boing for a while until today, and didn't recognize it. When the heck did that site get redesigned? If Boing Boing goes all 2.0 maybe I should think about a redesign myself, perhaps a total conversion to a different blog dealy-bop like WordPress.

Had a live chat with a Dot.Tunes person earlier tonight, got lots of hmmms when describing my problem. I think it's a server timeout thing or something like that, but it seems to get worse as time goes on... I'm not a programmer, I'll give any info needed to the dudes so it'll work like it should. Like I told the support guy Jeff, Apple should've enabled the ability to stream iTunes to the iPhone from the product launch.

Pissed off, paid 20 bucks and it's not working. I want all my iTunes available on my iPhone, not just the 4 gigs it came with. Dot.tunes looks like it puts a webserver on your puter and tricks the iPhone to think they are movies and not songs....Not sure how it all works or why it doesn't for me yet...Share Your iTunes Library Remotely.

I really wanted to hate this movie. Tim Allen, Travolta, Martin Lawrence, H. Macy, all together on motorcycles, suck fest. Not true, the first half hour sucks but after that I got into the story. Macy is the best part of the movie. He gets an Apple tat, the rainbow Apple logo. There must've been gay jokes they cut out of the movie based on the rainbow Apple tat. With 300 plus new features I couldn't resist spending my iPhone credit by pre-ordering the new version of OSX. My final bill came to only $40.10. Heck of a lot cheaper than even the cheapest variant of Vista. The new OS X would've even worked on the iBook that I gave away, no upgrades needed. Leopard countdown page.

Oh, and comments are working in a very limited way. I can read them, nobody else can, which is a problem that may or may not be resolved. Yes, stalking is possible.

I've got to pick exterior colors for my house. Think I'll go with historically traditional ones for a Craftsman style bungalow. Didn't find much searching until I found this Flickr photo set. Some kind of green for the body is what I'm leaning towards. The neighbors on the left have a yellowish house and the guy on the right has a white one. I've got some time to decide because it's way too cold right now to paint.

Did a walkthru of my burned house today. Everything has been stripped down to bare floors and studs. That pic is where the fire almost burned through the living room floor. Keep in mind that there was carpet and another wood floor that the flames ate up before creating those almost holes.

That's what I thought when watching "The Office" earlier tonight. Turns out that hump wasn't the one from Cheaters. It was Kenneth Cole, who happens to look a lot like the hump from Cheaters. Kenneth Cole designs shoes and other stuff that they sell at Macy's. I don't think he confronts people who are cheating on their spouses. Maybe he confronts people who wear counterfeit shoes.

My latest electric bill showed up in my inbox today. It wasn't as good as my Qwest bill where they owe me, pretty good though. Only 21 bucks, compared to the last one before the fire which was over 100 bucks more than that. Almost hate to move back after all the repairs are done, really enjoy these cheap utilities.

It's been almost 30 days since I last slept in my own bed. Don't think I'd want to sleep in it now, probably in a landfill. Thankfully those two aren't allowed in my guest room, or else there'd be hair all over my new MacBook Pro. Should only be three more months of their crap to put up with, "... feed me, pet me, play with me ..."

And, I should find out next week for sure how the whole "contents" thing will work with my homeowner's insurance. Hope that ambulance ride will be covered by my health insurance, picked up my mail Friday and there was a notice claiming that they think some other insurance might cover it because it was the result of an accident. Had to fill out a form, now I get to wait and see.

Got a new bill from Qwest in my email today. They actually owe me 26 bucks. Not everything sucks when your house almost burns down. I guess they owe me because they bill in advance. I got lucky when they agreed to let me out of the two year commitment, but c'mon, I'm not in the house, how can I use their DSL on melted phone lines? DirecTV let me put the service on hold for six months and will give me a free move-in thing, or something. Awesome!

Do pugs ever stop shedding? Sheesh, hair everywhere. Staying at my folks place for who knows how long and they've got a couple of pugs. I would think that in the cold weather they'd keep as much hair as possible. Maybe when it gets colder.

iPhone glass replacement kit showed up today. The glass in the kit was broken. Shoot.

Dummy at work told me that today. He voted, but didn't vote for president, just local elections. All because of the electoral college system we have, his lame state of Idaho only has 4. He claims that he hates the electoral college system and would rather that the popular vote would prevail. Hey dummy, you didn't vote for president, so yours didn't count period. Obama won the popular vote as well.

The movie still sucks, but it looks a lot better in Blu-Ray. I will say that you can sort of tell the bad guys from the good guys in the higher def version. Viewing the DVD version I couldn't really follow the action, or tell which robot was which. To be honest I was catching up on email and stuff during the heavy CGI scenes. Just wanted to see what's her name in a belly shirt and short skirt in high def.
