Nice, sorta, the new update for the iPhone gave me a new icon, I can now buy iTunes songs from my iPhone. I don't buy stuff via iTunes because of the DRM. I think there might be some DRM free stuff there, or am I thinking of Amazon? iTunes Plus offers DRM free music. Apple - iPhone. Kinda sucks that it wiped out my ringtones I put on via iFuntastic. I refuse to pay for a ringtone. Guess I'll have to wait until the jailbreak guys find a new way to get to the guts of the iPhone.

I'm checking out craig's list everyday for the "erotic services" in my town. Seems to be a problem brewing between the hookers. This post is evidence STOP FLAGGING SHIT. Other town's hookers have nasty nude pictures in their ads. Just looking, not purchasing any services.

Finally had to update the software on the R4. Couldn't play Tiger Woods 08 with what I had before. Now I can load the game, still can't play it worth a crap. Roms are legal if you own the game already. And I happen to have bought the Tiger Woods game earlier today and prefer the convenience of not having to swap out cards to play a game. Steve made good on his word to offer credit to early iPhone adopters who felt screwed by the price drop. I still feel a little screwed because I'm stuck with the smaller 4 gig model. Got my second bill from AT&T, it's over 100 bucks! Really can't afford to go over my minutes. I guess I should expect the bill to be around 80 bucks if I don't go over my minutes, even that much is a pain in the ass. Where's my credit Mr. Jobs? Where's the VOIP for the iPhone? Love the thing, but the service might bankrupt me.

Who could've guessed a 200 dollar price drop and product discontinuation after only two months of release? I sure didn't expect my 4 gig iPhone to be end of lifed after owning it for only a month. Let's see if I can get a refund, or an 8 gig model, or credit to my cell bill.

Well, calling 611 from the iPhone didn't get me anything. They told me "it's a point of purchase issue". I bought it from an AT&T Store, am I not talking to AT&T? Guess not. The store I bought it from is closed now, I'll see what they have to say tomorrow. Also inquiring if my credit card offers any price protection, can't see any mention of it on their website.

I wonder if my 4 gig iPhone breaks will they replace it with the 8 gig model? I'm still under warranty, or did that end already? I remember when my MacBook broke I got it back with a larger hard drive...

Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1967 was my first car. Folks had it restored and I wrecked it right after we got it back from the restorers. Shouldn't say restored, paint job was blue with silver flake. Loved that car. Loved how the butterfly valve on the throttle would get stuck open and I'd have to pull over to flick it loose. Haven't lived unless you have an engine racing and you have to stop and jump out to flick a valve. Thank goodness I could put the car in neutral while that was happening.

Dummy at work told me that today. He voted, but didn't vote for president, just local elections. All because of the electoral college system we have, his lame state of Idaho only has 4. He claims that he hates the electoral college system and would rather that the popular vote would prevail. Hey dummy, you didn't vote for president, so yours didn't count period. Obama won the popular vote as well.

The movie still sucks, but it looks a lot better in Blu-Ray. I will say that you can sort of tell the bad guys from the good guys in the higher def version. Viewing the DVD version I couldn't really follow the action, or tell which robot was which. To be honest I was catching up on email and stuff during the heavy CGI scenes. Just wanted to see what's her name in a belly shirt and short skirt in high def.

I've seen that people take credit for my work. Not difficult work, took me 15 minutes or less to do it, squeezed it out before I left on Friday. Emailed the result of my work to the coworker that requested it. Subsequently read an email where that coworker claimed that they created it, they may have edited it, but don't take full credit. Just gives me more reason to hate on folk. This particular coworker couldn't have created it ever. Best to move on if able. Will be with some folk this weekend that might have some options.

I just bought a new glass screen and tools to replace it off eBay. Shit is coming from Hong Kong. Why do they call it 2G? That 2G stuff confuses me. Anyway, even if it's the wrong size it was only around 14 bucks. Isn't the 3G iPhone the second generation? They claim it fits a 4 gig iPhone, so that would be a first generation iPhone.

A local company can replace the busted glass screen on my iPhone for "... $65 (parts), $10.88 Shipping, and $35 labor...", so hmm, math, let's see 110.88. Cheaper than sending it back to Apple. Too bad I don't have some other phone lying around I could put the sim card into during the repair time. They say 5-10 days turnaround. Would they need to have my iPhone the whole time? Need to find out what it would cost to get out of my ATT contract. Then go T-Mobile and G1, depending on what it costs to dump ATT. Although, I'm liking an App on the iPhone called GasHog that helps you track how many miles per gallon you get, and what the fuel costs per mile.

That G1 looks goofy, has no standard headphone jack, doesn't play video, not truly open thanks to T-Mobile, has a 2 year contract like ATT.

Fuck it, I'm stuck. Maybe I'll get the 3G iPhone instead and sell the busted one to help offset the cost. I'll have to make sure to take blurry pictures of it.

It was very easy to setup the first 3 times. Why 3 times? Well, I'm trying to use Boxee on it and that requires some work, not really, but I tried it over again when samba wasn't working. Still need some work to get samba shares to load. All the iTunes stuff works great, I can stream any media in my iTunes library fine, movies I've bought, podcasts, music I've bought. What I really want is samba shares to work. That will involve some ssh and ftp work. NitoTV may be the answer. Not a novice to ssh or ftp so I'm not scared about it, just too late in the day to tackle it tonight.

BTW: Never knew I could boot from a USB card reader.
