Ovation TV Network
Oh noes, my high fallutin' art loving nature has a channel on my TV Ovation TV Network. It's channel 274 on DirecTV. No clue if Comcast cable has it. I usually look to Logo or Bravo for art stuff, somehow art is faggy, I don't think so. Maybe this new Ovation channel will help change the perception of the arts.

Emulation is the sincerest form of flattery, or is it imitation?
Wish I never found this site. My thumb is killing me because I've been playing Pokemon Diamond way too long without a break. I named my "friend" Asshole, cracks me up when his mom gives me a package for him, she sez something like, "Give this to my little Asshole when you see him." You'd have to play the game to think that's even remotely funny.

iPhone is out - Whee?
Saw a line-up at an ATT store (Spokane don't have no Apple Store), assume they were waiting to get the iPhone. Thought I might see what the Apple Store online said, and it's 2-4 weeks if I order online. That sucks, guess if I want one sooner I could go to ebay, or check all three ATT stores here in town. I don't have that much of a hard-on for it, still not sure I want one.

Gee whiz I'm way too fat
I kinda look like that guy, except not as fat, no offense fat guy in picture I don't know. And I don't have long hair. He's probably taller than me too. That is why I don't like my picture to be taken, visual proof that I'm a fat ass.

So easy, who knew?
Uploaded a video to YouTube today, it is way too easy. That helps explain why there is so much crap on there. Pretty sure I shouldn't have uploaded it, (copyright stuff). I don't know, I'm making a video in one format (wmv) more accessible. I'll take it down if asked.

iPhone SDK
Develop for Safari and develop for iPhone, same thing. I guess the question is how does Safari interact with the ... stuff inside ... for example, does the microphone operate while in wifi mode? Cause I really want my iPhone to be a wifi phone and cell phone at the same time. Stefan Tilkov: iPhone SDK. My magic eightball is telling me "try again later".

Alpha Dog movie is factually inaccurate
The movie is set in 1999. Why are there flat screen tvs (might be plasma or lcd) and xboxes? Alpha Dog (2006) And all the tattoos, were punk ass kids all tatted up in 1999? I had a few tattoos by then, don't recall seeing a lot of neck tattoos in those days.

Purchase and Download MacGIMP
Should I buy it? I pay for BBedit... seems kinda not in the spirit of Gimp to have to buy it. How does this version conform to the open source original? Purchase and Download MacGIMP. If I install the developer tools and X11 I can run GIMP that way, but if MacGIMP is optimized for OSX it might be worth the money. X11 programs are goofy on OSX, they are nice to have but wouldn't want to use them daily.
Nevermind, didn't read enough about it, it still requires X11 or XDarwin. Why the hell would I pay for it when it's free?
Update: The reason why I don't want to use X11 programs, number one is you can't copy and paste between an X11 program and a native OSX one. Another reason is that the fonts look like hell on the X11 program. DarwinX might help with both of those issues.

Money from ads??? on the internets?
A site I'm a partner in is making money, almost, still has a way to go before profit. Seems crazy that a dumb jerk like me can potentially make a few dollars for doing nothing except providing information. This site doesn't make any money, but I'm ok with that. I could put more ads in other places and might get a few more page views, I don't care. Maybe I should, just to get to the 100 dollar level faster to get paid by Google.

Husky 8-in-1 Precision Screwdriver - Phillips and Slotted - 74501
The review of this screwdriver on the Home Depot site is 100% accurate. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that the handle is too long in some tight places, like inside a MacBook's battery compartment. I had to hold the bit by hand, but it worked out ok and now I have 2 gigs of RAM. Got my RAM
Wee, got my RAM today. So excited, need to install it now. How does it go in? The keyboard doesn't lift up like it does on my iBook. Must be from underneath in the battery area ... Shoot, don't have a screwdriver small enough, requires a Phillips size 00. instructions

Punch your dog? Is that ok?
Heard a scary story today, scary to me anyway. Seems that some people think it's ok to punch their dogs if the dog screws up. One guy said, "Go ahead and report me to animal control...I don't care", I didn't say anything or display my disgust. Dogs might not be the smartest animals, but do you have to beat them? Try actually training it. I don't think hitting needs to be part of the training. Pet-Abuse.Com - Animal Cruelty

WTF? My new RAM is on a wild ride.
Ordered 2 gigs of RAM for my MacBook recently. Decided to track it's progress to try to figure out when I might get it. So far it's gone from Salt Lake City Utah, to Commerce City Colorado, to Louisville Kentucky, then to where it is now, Seattle Washington. If it's in Seattle tonight, I expect it to come on a truck or train and arrive by Thursday at the very latest. That's a lot of miles it's traveled, I figured it go directly from Utah to Seattle then to me.

Kill Bill Connection on IFC
I've been watching these Japanese movies all day. At first I thought it was a Jap version of Rocky, but the timeline wouldn't work because these great films came before Rocky. These movies always end up with the hero helping out a kid. The hero never gets to have a wife and kids himself. When he fights a bear his girlfriend shows up to watch and tells the kid he's befriended to tell the hero "I'm going home" after it's obvious he's killed the bear, she was never actually in the presence of the hero. Those "Karate" movies helped shape Quentin Tarintino's making of "Kill Bill".

My fantasy revealed
Watching the news, top story was "A Kent man was killed..." I heard "A kept man", I don't want to be killed, but to be a kept man would be sweet, depending on who was keeping me. If Paris Hilton was keeping me I could get away a bit during the next 40 days and she couldn't stop me.

Netflix meet HandBrake
I really need to start ripping my Netflix movies via HandBrake then sending 'em back the next day. If only I had a way to show the ripped movies on my failing projector. I can burn it to DVD but don't want that, it must be via my home network. Apple TV? Perhaps, or maybe Ubuntu iBook with video adapter to VGA...wonder if I can use the VGA adapter in Ubuntu...would still need a long cable to hook the laptop up to the projector. Another thing to work on, damn you brain, so full of ideas!
Not kidding about failing projector, that bulb is gonna go dark any day now, replacement bulb is over 350 bucks.
