"Wished for Song: A Portrait of Jeff Buckley" any better than "Dream Brother"?
I read "Dream Brother", a double biography of Jeff Buckley and his semi-famous father Tim Buckley. The Tim Buckley stuff was sort of interesting, but most people (even in the 60's and 70's) never heard of him as a musical artist. I wonder if this book has any better biographical info about Jeff than "Dream Brother"? Think the "Wished For Song..." book is written by Jeff Buckley's mom, my friend Amazon.com recommended it to me.

Broadvoice now has fake 911
As long as the crook or killer doesn't cut my cable line I can now call 911 on my Voip phone from Broadvoice. If I was a crook or killer, first thing I would cut was the phone line, cable, then electricity. I still have my cell phone, crook or killer would have to take it away from me to prevent dialing 911.

Impeach Bush
Copy and paste from an important email
"C-Span "Book TV" Airs The Case for Impeachment
Dear Center for Constitutional Rights Supporter,
We would like to alert you to a provocative and timely discussion covering Impeachment this weekend on CSpan's Book TV.
This Saturday, C-Span will premiere an exciting 75-minute program featuring the Center for Constitutional Rights' Deputy Legal Director Barbara Olshansky and journalist Dave Lindorff discussing their book "The Case for Impeachment: The Legal Argument for Removing President George W. Bush from Office." The show was taped by C-Span at Robin's Books in Philadelphia in July. It will begin airing nationally on C-Span2's "Book TV" program this Saturday, August 26, at 11pm Eastern (8pm Pacific) and again on Sunday, August 27, at 8:15am Eastern (5:15am Pacific).
Meanwhile, if you want to check out an informative and intelligent (and civilized!) discussion about the Bush impeachment issue, it's going on all this week at Salon Table Talk. Anyone can follow the discussion, which features Lindorff and Olshansky, and others interested in the book and the issue. You have to contact Mary Beth, the host, about joining in, but anyone can read the entries. "Table Talk" will be featuring the impeachment issue all this week. (If you aren't a paid subscriber to Salon, go to www.Salon.com, click on the ad, watch it for one frame, and then get a free day pass.)

Arby's ads
I'm a victim of my own cleverness. I lied about where I live to Directv, they think I live in the Seattle area. I got the service before local channels were available where I really live. Lazy ass me has yet to correct it now that local channels are available in my area. Fucking Arby's ads I see say they have a special for 5 regulars for 5 bucks, but the Arby's where I live don't have that special, they are pushing Bacon Beef and Cheddar things 2 for 3 bucks. Who knew things like that were regional?

Time for a new Tattoo?
Drove by a Tattoo shop today, they had a chick outside holding up a sign saying something like "20 Dollar Tats, Artist in Training". I know that wasn't the exact verbage, I got excited because I love a bargain and can't remember exactly what the sign said. My other tats cost at least 100 bucks each. I want to cover up one of my tats... Hmmm.

Hello Albert Brooks CD!
So fucking thrilled! A cd I never thought I'd get is on it's way. Albert Brooks comedy cd, not a common item. Oh, a new thing I found out about today regarding lala, you have to register the envelope now when you are sending a cd to another lala user. These new envelopes and postage are totally paid by lala regardless of the weight. This means the postage from the double cd plus artwork I just mailed out is gonna be paid by lala. I will no longer need to add postage to my lala mailers because I include artwork.

Ohh lala.com, you changed
Seems that lala.com has changed the rules on me. When you request a cd you can now demand cover art or not. I was prevented from trading a cd because I don't have the cover art. Not that big of a deal for me, I'd rather have the music. Too bad, I really wanted to get rid of that Elton John cd. A real stinker, pu.
update: Did some research, cover art is a user setting, not a case by case thing. I think lala has modified their record keeping to keep track of what cd in your collection has cover art or doesn't. Since I've done most of my trading prior to the change, my data is incomplete regarding cover art.

Happy!
This is so cool! Just added "If I Were A Carpenter" to my Lala want list today. Also decided to release one of the CD's on my requested list. Boom, as soon as I agreed to ship "Wild Planet", I got an email saying "If I Were A Carpenter" is coming my way. Where's my t-shirt Lala?
Update: Even more happy! Got my free t-shirt today, wee!

Hmmm, what's this Lala CD?
That's what I wondered when I found it in my mail today, turns out I marked it received before I actually got it. Electric Larryland by Butthole Surfers. Thanks to whoever who sent it anyway after I marked it received a couple of weeks ago.
I remember sending a PJ Harvey CD after I said I lost it, then found it soon after, don't think I got any credit for that.
