Been a member on MySpace.com for maybe 2 weeks at the most, and got my first cam whore spam. This is one reason I don't like MySpace and services like it. I'm tempted to check out the cam whore...she's local...maybe she's a real life whore...uggghh. Bleccchhhh. Not a comment on the young lady, just disgusted by what she is doing to make money, without my management. To tell the truth, the cam whore must have some web design knowledge.

Or, dope that I am, there are MySpace templates all over the internets. I would've figured it out if I cared. Maybe I can make lame templates and sell them to cam whores.

Wanted to sell my iBook now that I have a MacBook. Didn't want to sell it with a few of the keyboard keys illegible, so I bought some replacement keys online. While trying to install one of the replacement keys I popped off a key that didn't need replacement. I can't find the fucking key that popped off! Motherfucking 15 bucks for shipping for three fucking keys and now I need another key! iBook is smashed to pieces now. Fuck it. It felt so great to stomp on it, slam it against the wall, nice to find out that there is liquid in LCD displays.

Uh oh OEMs, intel Macs will be cutting into your sales...Apple - Get a Mac - Run Windows. Apple is advertising that Windows runs on their hardware. Why should I buy a Dell or Gateway laptop with the same specs for almost the same price as a MacBook? Wonder how long until Apple sells computers that dual boot and come with OSX and Windows pre-installed? Microsoft wouldn't give a shit, a sale is a sale.

Signed up for a MySpace account. Before I did anything on it I had a friend. I will not use it, won't set it up, won't provide a picture, wonder how many friends I'll get by doing nothing? MySpace feels creepy to me somehow. Is that automatic friend sort of like an RA if you live in the dorm?

I hate you North Country movie! Sappy Women's rights movie made me cry, several times. Maybe it's because I was feeling down already before I started watching the movie. Feeling down because...work sort of, mostly. Work internet use is now monitored, and it was done behind my back almost, makes me wonder if they think I'm abusing my internet access while at work. I'm the IT guy, shouldn't I be informed about a third party installing software on the server? Who is gonna get yelled at if programs stop working? Already we found out the monitoring program breaks Freecell on Windows 98, what's the next program that won't work anymore? Arrrghhh

Couldn't wait for the local Mac guy anymore so I ordered my replacement keys from Daystar. They had the best price I could find for individual keys. The shipping charge is absurd, but I'll feel better about selling the iBook with an entirely legible keyboard.

Oh, and the MacBook Tiger install disc will not work on the G4 iBook, didn't think it would, but tried it just to find out for sure.

If you want to sign up to trade cds, check it out. Oh, and there is a universal binary version of the lala plugin for iTunes. You might have to ask for it until it's a final version. I think Raymond is the guys name who works on the iTunes plugin, anyway that's the guy I had to ask to get the universal version. Thanks for sending it to me Raymond!

One of my lala.com friends lists a cd from a band named "Spokane". Did she just get it? I thought I was the creepy one, not so sure now. Wonder if the band Spokane is any good ... She's in Mexico riding motorcycles for a while, gives me some time to ponder about her cd collection and how it relates to me. She did mention that she would have her laptop with her in Mexico so she could stalk me... It's all fun, she's married, can't be serious.

Why don't the ads get clicked? C'mon, I need the revenue!

Just looked at my lala.com bill for May, 39 bucks for 23 trades. Really? It's right, hard to believe. I reckon I'll end up keeping most of those trades, Beatles, Led Zepplin, Elton John.

If you read this Time Magazine article you'll see that I'm not crazy to buy an Apple laptop to use Windows. Still need to upgrade the RAM and hard drive. Wonder if one of the new Seagate drives will work in my MacBook? Gosh, I wish people would click the Google Ads. Maybe I should put flashing pointers next to the ads...

Finally got it. Was gonna do a printscreen and show the picture with this post, but the Macbook doesn't have a printscreen key! Have no clue why anybody would have trouble installing windows on their intel Mac, unless they chose the Apple partition by mistake, or they didn't have the most current firmware. The only trouble I had was making a slipstream XP disc with service pack 2. Feeling sick, better boot back into OSX. Found a utility to re-map keys in XP so I can do a printscreen.





Startup Disk? That's a Mac thing, haha, love it.

If you are lucky enough to get the IFC channel please to be tuning in to the Henry Rollins Show later today (6/3/06). Why? Because Patton Oswalt is Henry's guest, that's why. Better make sure my Tivo is gonna record it, it is. I learned about it because the people behind Patton Oswalt automatically tell me about stuff since I signed up to his mailing list a long time ago. Doesn't really matter that I got that email from Patton, I was going to record the Henry Rollins Show anyway.

Oh you evil geniuses at Apple! The transition from old Mac to brand new Mac couldn't be easier. Connect a firewire cable between the two, wait a while (in my case a little over an hour) and then you're done. All the junk you had on your desktop on the old 'puter is now on the new one, in the same position. The problems I am having have more to do with the fact that the new 'puter is intel and the old one is not.

Example, Fetch Art, a script plug-in for iTunes doesn't work on intel Macs. The writer of the plug-in is asking for donations so he can buy an intel Mac to rework it. I had my credit card in hand, ready to donate, then thought, "I'm a smart guy, I bet I can write something that does the same thing..." so that will be my next failed project that I never finish. A Fetch Art equivilant written for intel Macs.

I've got to pick exterior colors for my house. Think I'll go with historically traditional ones for a Craftsman style bungalow. Didn't find much searching until I found this Flickr photo set. Some kind of green for the body is what I'm leaning towards. The neighbors on the left have a yellowish house and the guy on the right has a white one. I've got some time to decide because it's way too cold right now to paint.

Did a walkthru of my burned house today. Everything has been stripped down to bare floors and studs. That pic is where the fire almost burned through the living room floor. Keep in mind that there was carpet and another wood floor that the flames ate up before creating those almost holes.

That's what I thought when watching "The Office" earlier tonight. Turns out that hump wasn't the one from Cheaters. It was Kenneth Cole, who happens to look a lot like the hump from Cheaters. Kenneth Cole designs shoes and other stuff that they sell at Macy's. I don't think he confronts people who are cheating on their spouses. Maybe he confronts people who wear counterfeit shoes.

My latest electric bill showed up in my inbox today. It wasn't as good as my Qwest bill where they owe me, pretty good though. Only 21 bucks, compared to the last one before the fire which was over 100 bucks more than that. Almost hate to move back after all the repairs are done, really enjoy these cheap utilities.

It's been almost 30 days since I last slept in my own bed. Don't think I'd want to sleep in it now, probably in a landfill. Thankfully those two aren't allowed in my guest room, or else there'd be hair all over my new MacBook Pro. Should only be three more months of their crap to put up with, "... feed me, pet me, play with me ..."

And, I should find out next week for sure how the whole "contents" thing will work with my homeowner's insurance. Hope that ambulance ride will be covered by my health insurance, picked up my mail Friday and there was a notice claiming that they think some other insurance might cover it because it was the result of an accident. Had to fill out a form, now I get to wait and see.

Got a new bill from Qwest in my email today. They actually owe me 26 bucks. Not everything sucks when your house almost burns down. I guess they owe me because they bill in advance. I got lucky when they agreed to let me out of the two year commitment, but c'mon, I'm not in the house, how can I use their DSL on melted phone lines? DirecTV let me put the service on hold for six months and will give me a free move-in thing, or something. Awesome!

Do pugs ever stop shedding? Sheesh, hair everywhere. Staying at my folks place for who knows how long and they've got a couple of pugs. I would think that in the cold weather they'd keep as much hair as possible. Maybe when it gets colder.

iPhone glass replacement kit showed up today. The glass in the kit was broken. Shoot.

Dummy at work told me that today. He voted, but didn't vote for president, just local elections. All because of the electoral college system we have, his lame state of Idaho only has 4. He claims that he hates the electoral college system and would rather that the popular vote would prevail. Hey dummy, you didn't vote for president, so yours didn't count period. Obama won the popular vote as well.

The movie still sucks, but it looks a lot better in Blu-Ray. I will say that you can sort of tell the bad guys from the good guys in the higher def version. Viewing the DVD version I couldn't really follow the action, or tell which robot was which. To be honest I was catching up on email and stuff during the heavy CGI scenes. Just wanted to see what's her name in a belly shirt and short skirt in high def.
