Consarn it, forgot my PIN number
I forgot what the PIN number is for my ATM card. That means I have to go to my credit union and get them to reset it. Can't call 'em, or email 'em. Have to actually walk inside the credit union and wait in line. Not a bad thing come to think of it, I need a new ATM card since they've changed the name of the credit union, might get to meet a hot credit union chick.
Update: somehow remembered my PIN. Hail Satan.

iTunes 4.9 supports Podcasts
Yes it's true, the new version of iTunes has built in support for Podcasts. Very exciting, kinda, not really, but it's nice. Makes it a bit easier to try out different podcasts, don't have to do any copying of downloaded stuff into iTunes. There's also some kind of video thing now in iTunes I've read about, I guess an RSS feed that has Quicktime in it will display in the Album Art area. Oh and don't forget about the mobile phone thing somebody discovered. Can't find that link, but somebody found some images in iTunes that refer to downloading stuff to a mobile phone. All very very 'yawn' exciting stuff.

Internet Archive: Feature Films
Sweetness abounds in these free movies. Internet Archive: Feature Films. Reckon I'll be abusing my cable internet for a while. I hope the quality of the transfers from film to digital is good. Gotta buy a DVD burner now. Downloading the original "D.O.A.", not that piece of crap with Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. Love public domain content.

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou -- One of my favorite movies.
Bill Murray, a 3 legged dog, Owen Wilson, interns share a Glock. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou -- The Official Movie Homepage. Goodness, I love these half silly movies. The initial idea must've been something like this, "What about a goof ball Jaques Cousteau who might have an illegimate kid . . . and hijinks ensue".

Speck Products iPod Shuffle Docking Station
What a great idea. It's such a hassle plugging my iPod Shuffle into the usb port on my iBook. Duh.

God Damn, this will make you smart, or a smart ass.
I want this DVD set when it comes out. The New Yorker magazine is fabulous, and to have 80 years of it on DVD for only 100 bucks? Sign me up. I will actually consider buying this. Or I'll try to grab a torrent of it. I guess a cheaper version would be to visit the library, sit and read, if they have all 80 years, would spend a lot of that time in front of a microfiche machine.

Nose is bleeding again!
Consarn it, I can't take these nosebleeds. Maybe I shouldn't pick it. Man, once it starts bleeding I need about 10 minutes of constant pressure to stop it, and please don't sneeze soon after that 10 minutes. Should contact the Red Cross, or one of those plasma donation places, might be able to bag it up and bring in my excessive blood loss. Although I doubt they let you bring your own blood, they probably want to see it come out so that they're sure about where it's coming from. I blame the air conditioning at my job.

Active X in Firefox?
WTF? My favorite radio program started streaming on the net this week. In order to listen you have to use a Windows Media Player session within your browser. If you attempt to listen using Firefox you are prompted to install an Active X plugin for Mozilla. Hunh? I thought Active X was one of the biggest security problems with Internet Explorer. Why would I want to soil my Firefox with Microsoft junk tools? Who the heck is behind this Active X plugin for Mozilla? Needless to say I didn't install it. Can't listen to the live stream at work anyway, don't have any speakers.
Strange, don't need the plugin on the Mac, just need to have a Windows Media player already open and then can listen to the stream. If I don't have the Windows Media player open I get an error about creating tmp files. ARRGHHH, can I ever live a Microsoft free life? That's to say, do the things I want to without having to use Microsoft products? Ideally I'd like to record D&M to listen to at my leisure, maybe on my iPod Shuffle.

Netflix has changed
My queue is empty! Hadn't been to Netflix for a while. They've changed it, for the better. Now if you hover the pointer over a title it displays the description of the movie, so you don't have to actually click on it and load a totally new page to see the details, very cool. Wonder how long this has been in effect? The way I tend to use Netflix is I'll load up my queue then wait until it's empty before I visit again. Seems like I miss titles that way, being that a movie might not be considered a "New Release" when I go back, and that's where I look for what to rent.

Damn I love linux
Power went out at my house, linkstation that is my slimserver rebooted. Had to telnet into it from my mac, beauty is that it remembers commands, just push the up arrow on the keyboard until you find the command you forgot to start the slimserver. have to do this because I've never done the smart thing and make slimserver start automatically on boot. BTW, if you ever need to start a slimserver, the command is ./slimserver.pl Just make sure you are in the right folder. For my linkstation it's /usr/local/slimserver

Was that water?
I know what water looks like, just wonder if the Tom Cruise spray was water. It looked kinda like...something other than water don't know what. On a second look, reckon it is just water. Funny that a fake reporter lined up with real reporters. Fake reporter had a phoney microphone that squirts water. Tom Cruise stops to talk to fake reporter and gets sprayed with water from phoney microphone. Ha Ha Ha. Still thinking about if that's funny. Not a fan of Tom Cruise, but it seems like an ambush. It's funny, but he was ambushed.

Ahh! Nose won't stop bleeding!
Had a horrific bloody nose today. It just would not stop. Think I lost a couple of pints, maybe swallowed another pint. Pinched it to no avail, shoved napkins up it until they became saturated, then replaced with new napkins. Somehow it finally got clotted enough so the blood stopped coming out my nose and then went down my throat. Yum.

All right, ready to accept critiques
Bring it on, I know I still need to change some templates so that the ads show everywhere, beyond that, let me know what seems messed up. For me, I think I've done super. Even learned some about CSS, as in you can hide stuff, sneaky.

Moved it, Nucleus now default.
I've done it now! Deleted all my Movable Type stuff. I imagine there will be problems somewhere along the line.
Cool how much css can do, didn't have paths set right at first, site looked horrible, but with a few changes in setup it looked like I expect it to.

American Dad is funny.
When it first came on TV I thought was too much like Family Guy. Oh, and I think I've got search working, at least it works a lot better than it did.

Well...
Isn't this interesting, just a couple of tweaks using the Pelham Skin and Nucleus looks very similar to my Movable Type version of "crapulent". Even the Ads seem to work!

Oops! Sorry webhost.
Think I might've crashed my webserver by enabling fancy urls before I made the preperations for it. So I deleted the offending blog and recreated it. Fancy urls can wait, not sure what they are, but it sounded neat. So...here we go again.

Holy Cats! It worked!
Soon, and for the rest of our lives this will be my website, maybe. Have to mess around with the plugins and CSS / layout of it before I go live with it. Very impressed with the Movable Type to Nucleus conversion tool I downloaded, it worked flawlessly. Damn that was easy, wish the Drupal thing I tried had worked as easily. Oh well, I've moved on.

Bang!
If I owned firearms my neighbors would be sorry. Can't stand to hear them yapping across the street. Keep it inside people. Close your doors like civilized folk. Or else, bang bang, head shots and I go to jail. Good thing I don't have any guns...yet.

Linkstation status
Linkstation is doing ok, think it has asthma, making lots of noise while it breaths, so far hasn't lost any data. Fear is that if it can't get enough air might start losing brain cells. BTW Linkstation is the nickname for my pet chimpanzee. Not really a cost effective data storage device.

Ohh no!!!
My Linkstation might be dying! It shut itself off today, turned it back on, and the fan was really noisy. Gee whiz I hope the drive in it doesn't get too borked ... the Linkstation is my Slimserver and iTunes folder, and alarm clock...gosh, I put a lot of pressure on that little ARM cpu. Hope it can come back and wake me up like it used to.
btw, talking out my butt, no clue if it has an ARM cpu or not, all's I know is it worked fine up until a couple days ago ... kinda funny it coincides with Apple announcing the move to Intel chips for the low to mid range Macs ... what does ARM have to do with Intel vs IBM? I'm sleepy and not making any sense...Yeah profit margins!

Good Golly the Unicorns were fantabulous
It's a shame that "The Unicorns" aren't making music anymore (as far as I know). I love all the ghostly tunes...Ghost Mountain, Tuff Ghost, Sea Ghost. Wonder what they are up to now? If they had had a hit they could've been on the crappy NBC show "Hit Me One More Time".

Audio books suck
I'd rather read. Stole an audio book with the help of Pirate Bay torrent site. Who wants to listen to somebody read to them? I'm not a little kid tucked up in bed. Give me the book and let me read it. I'd be into the Sony Libre ebook thing now that somebody figured out how to put non DRM'd texts on it.
Love Steve Martin as an actor, snooze if he reads his book to me. Do people that buy audio books think they have read the book? Stupid people. The human brain is kooky. Reading and listening are not equal.

WTF? I gotta move to Drupal
Why is my post about rewatching Blade Trinity showing up twice? This site has been crippled ever since I tried to export it in a format Drupal could read. Since I havn't fixed it, gotta go through with the conversion to Drupal. Reckon I'll be better off once I do it...consarn it. Pain in the ass fucking hobby web site makes me want to cry.
Oh and speaking of pains in the ass, where is the new Twit podcast?
Swear to Satan I didn't post the Blade Trinity thing twice. Got rid of the bogus one.

Yee Hah! Hates me the spyware.
Is there a mac eDonkey client? Don't know, never wanted one because I knew it had spyware bundled with it. But if this is true I'd be interested. Now if only my BroadVoice service could unbundle the fuckup random disconnects...that would be fantastic.
